July 2026, 6 (Wednesday) Regular beekeeping inspection

Due to recent rain and low temperatures, honey consumption has been observed inside the beehive. To prevent further internal consumption, some honey frames were removed and honey was harvested, leaving only a portion.

I think we were able to harvest about 20 kg. Unlike last year, we immediately extracted the honey using a hand-cranked centrifugal separator after pulling up the honey frames, and the remaining frames were frozen to suppress wax moth infestations. I think this cycle is working well.

Last time, we found mites, and the bees cleaned the isolated enclosure by removing the mites. It's amazing.
